MAPTO has recently hosted Elizabeth Sattler from Great Golf Courses of Australia (GGCA) to a familiarisation visit of the top golf courses in the Peel Region. GGCA is a collaborative marketing and distribution program designed to showcase Australia’s best golf courses and position Australia as a premier golf tourism destination.
Elizabeth was here to identify suitable product to join the ‘Best Of’ programme which is a marketing collaboration between GGCA AND Tourism Australia to show case the very best golf courses in Australia.
During her visit, we identified four courses which could be enrolled in the programme. Currently there are only 16 clubs enrolled nationally in this programme – and none are in WA – so we were delighted to identify four local golf courses that could qualify and we are now working closely with the clubs on the next steps.

MAPTO Backs Three Summers
We were one of the first sponsors to financially support Ben Elton’s Three Summers, and were thrilled see it featured at the Melbourne International Film Festival and to be present at CinefestOZ to see first hand the buzz this new Australian classic is creating. Even Ben Elton agrees MAPTO have been on board from the start.
“When we set out to make Three Summers, MAPTO were just so brilliant and supportive, they really got involved right from the start. It’s an all Australian comedy shot on location at the Fairbridge Village in this beautiful part of WA and we’re ready to share it with the rest of Australia and the whole world! I’m so grateful to the people of Pinjarra, Mandurah and the outlying region for getting involved and making it happen. Our shared heritage is something we can all really celebrate!”
MAPTO will continue to promote the film in the lead up to its cinematic launch on 2 November and leverage awareness for the Peel Region in our Three Summers media articles and on social media. You can follow and share the journey on Three Summers’ social media on Facebook @3SummersFilm and the movie’s trailer on YouTube
