Amaze Miniature Park Opened

amaze-miniature-parkNew owners Paul and Rasa Hanssen have re-opened what was one of Mandurah’s major tourism attractions for many years.  Located in Barragup, 5 minutes from Mandurah, Amaze Miniature Park (formerly known as Abingdon Miniature Village) was built in 2003 and is home to many English replica scale model buildings.

Set amongst four acres of beautifully manicured gardens, the attraction has an extensive display of scale model miniature buildings and railways.  Many of the models are exact replicas of well known historic buildings from Abingdon Village, parts of the United Kingdom and Germany. Guests enjoy a self-guided tour past the ornamental lake and miniature steam and diesel trains, canals, locks and barges to the town of Abingdon, the oldest continually inhabited town in England.

Entry includes a hedge maze, circular maze, secret garden, lakes, water features, playground and other activities.  The attraction also offers a challenging 12 hole miniature golf course. More info here.

Fairbridge Festival: Market Stall Applications Open

Market vendor online applications are now open and close 28 February 2017.

Next year’s festival is expected to break attendance records with high interest driven by Ben Elton’s Three Summers feature movie which was inspired by this event. Fairbridge Festival markets aim to inspire, excite and offer great products and therapies to festival patrons.  Organsiers are seeking quality stalls and therapies that enhance the festival, add to the “local village” feel and reflect the energy, vibrancy and presentation of the festival which attracted around 8,500 people last year. For more info click here.
