Marketing Manager (12 months Maternity Cover Position)

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this hands-on role is primarily responsible for development, co-ordination and delivery of multi-media campaigns with a strong focus on digital marketing and social media, promotional activities and public relations

Key Duties

  • Involvement in developing a concise marketing strategy for marketing the region as a tourism destination in domestic and international markets
  • Co-ordination and delivery of multi-media campaigns with a key focus on digital marketing
  • Management of corporate and consumer websites & social media
  • Development and distribution of promotional material for the destination
  • Management of a comprehensive digital assets library
  • Communication to tourism operators, media, travel industry, consumers and key stakeholders
  • Development of destination itineraries for visiting trade and consumer media

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or associated discipline, with a demonstrated focus on digital skills
  • Capacity to manage a multi-channel approach to marketing and communications
  • Understanding of contemporary marketing principles, especially as they apply to tourism
  • Skills in market research and data analysis
  • Creativity and promotional skills
  • Demonstrated experience or skill in web and online production
  • Computer literate, experience in Photoshop, Mailchimp and Content Management Systems
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a small team
  • Current driver’s license and passport
